Music started to be used in 1985 in addition to the classical Morse code "da-da-da ......" sound. Before that, only the Morse code sound was present even in full news bulletins. This manner is only used in news preview programmes nowadays.

During the entire 80s, TVB news had THE best group journalists and editorial personnel. It's not only the delivery but the substance itself.
